Letter from America
Dear Helen
I am writing to thank you for helping me with my colours and
wardrobe. As you know, I do like to look my best but don't
want to spend much time or money doing it!
Thank you for helping me choose the right shape and style
for my 'Nigella Lawson' type body (as described by others!).
It is great being tall and 'shapely' but not that easy to dress it
well. Thank you too for not judging my body and for helping
me make the most of my assets. Oh and ensuring I don't get
into the dreaded middle-aged trap of looking like mutton
dressed as lamb or, going the other way and looking like a
lumpy frump!
Since our session, (despite being in my mid 40's), I am
constantly getting complements from both men and women
about my dress sense and style - proof that it is working. It
certainly puts a smile on my lips and an extra bounce in my
step.
You'll be relieved to read that I am no longer a slave to
black, red and burgundy. I love those colours still, but as
you showed me, my wardrobe was getting very repetitive. I
am wearing fuchsia-pink trousers today and also flirt with
lime, aquamarine, teal, yellow and orange. Wearing colour
does lift the spirits.
Travelling across N America for the last year (anniversary
was 18 Sept!) one can't carry many clothes and shoes.
Thank you for helping me plan and pack for this trip and new
lifestyle.
My wardrobe, comprising of one suitcase(!), is really serving
me well - my boyfriend kept accusing me of buying new
things. He didn't realise that I am just being more creative
with the same items and making them work harder for me.
Also, you might like to know that those tops I bought from
you have passed the 'Lesley' test. They have had a lot of
abuse - including a mud soaking twice when falling off my
bike along a flooded towpath, public laundrettes and dryers -
and they still look excellent. No pilling or sagging. I
particularly like the square neck design top. Its such a
flattering shape and colour, and frames my neck jewellery. I
would like some more please!! Can you remind me what
colours they come in?!!

Saturday. I have since caught up with all my friends/colleagues who attended

Helen's visit has made such a difference to the way I dress and also increased
my confidence. The day itself was very enjoyable although challenging at times. I
got rid of my old out of date work clothes and tried to set up my wardrobe for my
new life style of ‘yummy mummy’!
It helped me understand what styles and colours best suited me and identified
new combinations of clothes from my wardrobe which I had missed. It has given
me confidence when shopping for clothes and I have added new colours to my
range.
